As you may know from reading about our cause and our mission, you may know about how we are planing to use trucks to go around Ontario to pick up produce from farmers who possibly can't pay for transportation. After we have picked up the produce, we will bring it back to Toronto and sell it to the large population of the city in our stores and farmers markets.
What Trucks Will We Be Using?
We plan on using a few different truck models at our company. When we start up our company, we will start with a more standard, basic, cheaper model that uses gas like what you would see on the highway, but as we gain more money from donations and merchandise sales, we plan on getting several Tesla Semi trucks so that we can be more eco friendly.
The Routes
In the image to the right of the page you will see two lines that go around most of Ontario. The longer, red line is what we are calling the Northern Route and it will be going to a lot of northern communities in Ontario including a large number of reservations. It will also be going through Sudbury, Ottawa, Oshawa, and Barrie. The smaller, yellow line represents our Western Route. It will be going through many cities in the southern and western part of Ontario including London, Hamilton, Niagra and a few others.
The image to the right is our plan for our preliminary truck routes. These are the routes that we will begin with as our company starts up with, but as more and more people and farmers around Ontario gain more awareness about our orgonization, they can get in contact with us via email and we will alter our route to accomidate their location so that we can pick up their produce.
